Not all travel leads you miles away from home. We constantly travel to endless places in our mind. Call it a Day Dream, Astro Travel, Sleep Walking, Brain Storming..... We are rarely present and have to redirect our thoughts into being in the moment. We go about our days constantly thinking about what's next and then life throws us Lemons.
As I was driving to a meeting yesterday I was captivated by this yellow house and staircase. This was not apart of my plan and I had somewhere to be but I decided to pull over "stop and smell the roses" ok to be technical stop and check out this yellow house. 😉 I was by myself and had nobody to take a pic for me so I asked these two girls standing by their car if they could take it. It just so happened that the reason they were standing out there was because they had a flat tire. It warmed my heart to see how they smiled and laughed about it even though they had to get the car towed to the dealership pay an unexpected $500 for a new tire; along with that they will be missing the first day of the Lightning In A Bottle festival they were on there way to. It was so inspiring that they were able to make Instant lemonade out of their unexpected pot hole of lemons. I thanked them for reminding me that we are the authors of our story's and wether we have a good or bad day it is dependent on how we choose to deal with the things that come our way. Playing Dodge Ball with Lemons: Instead of catching them, we dodge them only to notice that the whole time we thought we were avoiding the effects of being hit by lemons, we look down to find a bucket full of them. So what do we do? Step On Them. I know you thought I was going to say make lemonade! So why didn't I? Because like Grape-stomping to make wine I like going back to the traditional way of doing things and think outside of the box or should I say bucket.
