Pedra da Sol is the birthplace of Samba and was the center village of the African communities during the Slavery era. When you get there, there is this sign that says "Aqui se respeita o Samba" which means "here we respect Samba" ... They are right about that.
When you study the story of Brazil you realize why diversity and racism is different here. As opposed to other places, the early Portuguese settlers had no problem mixing blood, cuisines and religions together and you really feel this blend... But with the story... There are always the behind the scenes that we don't talk about...
